Something to celebrate with Hydro Ottawa
Hydro Ottawa wanted more customers to register for and use its digital services. Like MyAccount, online billing, and pre-authorized payments. As a reward, their team introduced an enticing offer: a chance to win free hydro for a year. What they needed was a creative way to capture attention and communicate the incentive. We delivered a playful, character-led campaign worth celebrating.

Easy to do. Hard to ignore.
Hydro Ottawa had the right offer to motivate customers but not their attention. Because most people only engage with utility companies to pay a bill. So we did something unexpected to get the offer noticed.
Utility brands are typically serious and corporate. The Win Hydro campaign wasn’t. It was whimsical and colourful, with a cast of household appliances and bursts of confetti. Paired with a strong offer and a simple call to action, the campaign was hard to ignore. Even harder for customers to put off taking action.
